Polyamide (Nylon) 3-strand twisted ropes
3-strand ropes are made from 100% UV-stabilized high tenacity polyamide. The distinguishing feature of Polyamide rope is their good resistance to abrasion and high breaking load. Perfect elongation at breaking load: approx 40%. This makes it a good shock absorber. Nylon rope found wide using in the marine transport, the cargo handling,the fishery and construction (safety rope for safety nets).
Polyester 3-strand twisted ropes
3-strand ropes are made from 100% high tenacity polyester and characterized by their resistance to climate conditions and good UV-resistance. This rope has high abrasion resistance and high breaking load. In comparison with polyamide rope, polyester ropes are more flexible in wet condition. Elongation at breaking load is approx 20%.
Polypropylene multifilament 3-strand twisted ropes
3-strand ropes are made from 100% high tenacity polypropylene multifilament. The rope has good resistance to the chemicals and average resistance to abrasion. Soft floating rope is lighter than rope made from polyester and polyamide and has good UV-resistance. Elongation at breaking load is approx 25%.
