Flax (linen) 3-strand twisted ropes
3-strand ropes are made from 100% linen (flax) fibers. Linen fibers are naturally soft with a satin color. These rope is strong and flexible, sun and hot weather damage resistant and has good resistance to abrasion. Elongation at breaking load: approx 14%. The rope doesn't accumulate static electricity. Looses it’s strength in wet conditions. Today the linen ropes are being used for finishing seams between wooden beams.
Linen ropes are still used in the yachting industry for classic boats. Linen ropes are also suitable for framing, decorations as well as halyards in theatres and barrier ropes. Linen fibres are friendly for environment and biodegradable. Good UV-resistance.
